Learn about our 4-week Course in Trading Mastery
New course starts on the first Monday of each month. Sign up today and make your trading a success!
Important notes:
• the course is designed to make you a master of the Remek! method, master price action reading, and master risk management
• as a result, you’ll be best positioned to build a profitable trading business, as long as the other ingredients of success (capital, time, dedication to excellence) are present.
• special focus will be on PRO STR and BT: by the end of the course you will master the smallest nuances of using our Standalones
• the way traders trade successfully ranges from “mostly manual” to “mostly automated”, with many steps in the middle. One challenge is to find the trading style that best suits your situation and personality. This program will help with that.
• “discretionary” doesn’t equal “improvisation”. “Discretionary” for professional traders means “hard to quantify”. There is room to incorporate discretionary rules in your trading plan, but note: good discretionary rules come with time and experience. Start with quantifiable rules (which is what our software does), and incorporate discretionary rules gradually and with thought, as your data-driven experience and intuition accumulates. The good news is: with time, a good combination of a powerful algorithm and experience-based discretionary rules can form a powerful combination!
• traders who keep focusing on the money… won’t make much of it, that’s just the irony of trading. You must learn to focus on the process. Trading is a business, and every business is a process. A process, day in, day out. In trading, money is the by-product of a good process.
After the above introductory notes, you are herewith invited to take part in our unique four-week course in trading mastery (next course scheduled to start on first week of September). See the details below:

Learning outcomea thorough understanding and acceptance on an emotional level of the success factors of trading (capital, the edge, risk, the process)
the ability to implement the correct practices so that a profitable trading business is allowed to emerge.
Achieving this objective will require the following input from the trader:
- ability to come with a clean slate (leave past garbage outside the door, unless you have quantitative evidence that that something does work)
- ability to embrace randomness on a deep emotional and intellectual level (a challenge for most humans)
- ability to appreciate and respect simple mathematical and statistical concepts
- ability to accept that self-confidence emerges from having done the work and having run the numbersCourse Outline
Week 1
a)
- the basics: what is the market? why and how to participate in a largely random environment?
- theoretical foundations: randomness, the edge, the market as a crowd.
- understanding where success lies: making statistics our friend, establishing a process.
- exploiting patterns in crowd behaviour: characteristics of human behaviour under stress.
- conquering the greatest challenge in trading: reprogramming/controlling our evolutionary responses to perceived threat
- risk management: thinking in Rs and ATRs and SD (standard deviation) (as opposed to dollars)
b)
- foundational knowledge about NT8 as it relates to working with Remek!’s softwareWeek 2
a)
- the trading plan: trading as a business. Every business needs a plan.
- how we will engage with the markets starts with understanding ourselves
- what goes into the trading plan (what, when, how, how much to trade)
- the trading plan as an evolving document, but which defines the process from day one
- the foundation of all trading plans: the numbers must make sense
- the level of automation and the timeframe to match our personality and account size.
- deploying the plan on the markets with discipline
- record-keeping and establishing the review and revision cycleBy the end of Week 2, each participant will have at least the basic, working version of their trading plan.
Week 3
- The mental game of trading: establishing and re-enforcing a profitable process.
- The pain: what we pay for what we make.
- Bringing out the trader in you: a lifelong journey, which can be a profitable journey.
- Keeping in shape physically, mentally: moving to higher timeframes as our account grows.
Note: we’ll keep the schedule flexible to a degree, depending on the skill level of the participants. We’ll move so that relatively new traders to our method will not be lost, and our most seasoned customers will also be challenged. Expect individualized homework and exercises that will make you do the work and take you to a level of mastery.
Ground rules: any personal details will be kept confidential. One on one sessions will not be recorded, unless requested otherwise, and will be kept confidential.
This is a unique course, which builds on our practice of 15 years of trading in the trenches daily, as well as the theoretical foundations of 6 years of teaching algorithmic trading at the graduate level in an intensely quantitative environment.
Disclaimer: While success in trading cannot possibly be promised or guaranteed, we will work hard to help you move towards and solidify your profitability, and help you become the best confident professional trader that you can be.
